It’s been a long time since I have posted anything here, but that doesnt mean I have been idle! I have completed lots of projects but this one, is one of my own designs. I posted this photo in a numer of facebook groups and recieved an overwhelming positive response and enquiries about the pattern. As I ‘winged it’, I have reverse-engineered the design and written it down and will publish it here. The only thing is that this is my first ever attempt at writing a pattern, so would greatly appreciate any testers, or feedback on anything which requires clarification.
I actually used left-over yarn, so don’t have any clear indication of the amount of yarn required, so I’ve just put in 100g per colour .

Materials
100g Light Orange DK mercerised cotton yarn
100g Dark Orange DK mercerised cotton yarn
100g Black DK mercerised cotton yarn
Crochet Hook size 3.5mm
Method
Start by making an adjustable ring in Light Orange.
Round 1: Ch1, 11 sc in ring. Join with sl st in first sc (total:11sc).
Round 2: Ch2 (counts as 1dc), dc in same stitch, 2dc in each or the stitches around. Join with sl st in the top of the beginning ch (total:22dc).
Round 3: Skip same stitch as join. Ch2 (counts as 1dc), dc in same stitch, *ch2, skip one stitch, 2dc in next stitch *. Repeat from * to * 9 more times. Ch2. Join with sl st in the top of beginning ch (total: 22dc + 11 spaces).
Round 4: Sl st into first space. Ch2 (counts as 1dc), 2dc in same space, *ch3, 3dc in next space*. Repeat from * to * 9 more times. Ch 3. Join with sl st in the top of beginning ch (total: 33dc + 11 spaces).
Round 5: Ch2 (counts as 1dc), dc in next 2 stitches, *2dc in space, dc in next 3 stitches*. Repeat from * to * 9 more times. Dc in last 2 stitches. Join with sl st in the top of beginning ch (total: 55dc).
Round 6: Ch3 (counts as 1dc and ch), *dc in next stitch, 1ch*. Repeat from * to * 53 more times. Join with sl st in the top of beginning ch (total: 55dc, 55 spaces).
Round 7: Repeat Round 6.
Round 8: Repeat Round 6.
Round 9: Ch4 (counts as 1dc and 2ch), skip space, *dc in next stitch, 2ch, skip space*. Repeat from * to * 53 more times. Join with sl st in the 3rd ch of beginning ch (total: 55dc, 55 spaces).
Round 10: Repeat Round 9.
Round 11: Repeat Round 9.
Round 12: Ch5 (counts as 1dc and 3ch), skip space, *dc in next stitch, 3ch, skip space*. Repeat from * to * 53 more times. Join with sl st in the 3rd ch of beginning ch (total: 55dc, 55 spaces).
Change colour to Dark Orange
Round 13: Repeat Round 12.
Round 14: Ch6 (counts as 1dc and 4ch), skip space, *dc in next stitch, 4ch, skip space*. Repeat from * to * 53 more times. Join with sl st in the 3rd ch of beginning ch (total: 55dc, 55 spaces).
Round 15: Repeat Round 14.
Round 16: Ch4 (counts as 1dc and 2ch), *dc in space, 2ch, dc in next stitch, 2ch*. Repeat from * to * 53 more times. Dc in space, 2ch. Join with sl st in the 3rd ch of beginning ch (total: 110dc, 110 spaces).
Round 17: Ch4 (counts as 1dc and 2ch), *dc in next stitch, 2ch*. Repeat from * to * 108 more times. Join with sl st in the 3rd ch of beginning ch (total: 110dc, 110 spaces).
Round 18: Repeat Round 17.
Round 19: Repeat Round 17.
Change colour to Black
Round 20: Repeat Round 17.
Round 21: Repeat Round 17.
Round 22: Repeat Round 17.
Round 23: Ch5 (counts as 1dc and 3ch), *dc in next stitch, 3ch*. Repeat from * to * 108 more times. Join with sl st in the 3rd ch of beginning ch (total: 110dc, 110 spaces).
Round 24: Repeat Round 23.
Round 25: Repeat Round 23.
Round 26: Ch6 (counts as 1dc and 4ch), *dc in next stitch, 4ch*. Repeat from * to * 108 more times. Join with sl st in the 3rd ch of beginning ch (total: 110dc, 110 spaces).
Round 27: Repeat Round 26.
Round 28: Repeat Round 26.
Round 29: ch, *4dc in space, sc in next stitch*. Repeat from * to * 109 more times. Sl st in 1st ch and cast off. Weave in the ends and enjoy!
